Campaign Intern

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) is offering a volunteer opportunity within its busy campaigning team, which is responsible for the planning and delivery of the organisation’s campaigns and activities. This opportunity would be ideal for anyone seeking to learn about and experience the campaigning or animal advocacy fields.

The volunteer will observe and be trained on all aspects of the programme, which includes researching campaign-related information for correspondence, publications, action alerts, web features and media materials; assisting with the organisation of events, demonstrations and other outreach projects; communicating with existing and potential activists in a positive manner; and helping to maintain the volunteer and activist database.

The ideal candidate should be able to commit to volunteering three to four days a week for six to eight weeks.

Although the opportunity is not salaried, PETA will reimburse travel costs to and from the office (within London) and provide a daily meal allowance.

If you’re interested in this opportunity, please send your cover letter and curriculum vitae to Kristin Heggeli at [email protected].
