Digital Campaigns Officer

Position Objective:

To prepare and deliver the digital assets supporting PETA’s campaigns, including overseeing online projects that promote the organisation’s mission, in partnership with the campaigns team

Term of Employment: Full time

Reports to: PETA UK Director

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Deliver the organisation’s online campaigns
  • Research information related to campaigns
  • Create new and engaging content for PETA’s website and those of its international affiliates, including features, blogs, and action alerts, as well as supporter e-mails
  • Work closely with PETA’s campaigns, celebrity and teams to ensure the accuracy of digital content
  • Work closely with PETA’s online marketing team to ensure that online campaigns are as effective as possible
  • Foster positive support for campaigns via e-mail and website content
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor

Qualifications:

  • Excellent writing and research skills
  • Experience as an editor or a writer in web content production
  • Experience with e-campaigning tools preferred
  • Knowledge of animal rights issues and PETA campaigns
  • Adherence to a vegan lifestyle strongly preferred
  • Ability to advocate the organisation’s positions on issues professionally to the public
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision
  • Commitment to the objectives of the organisation
