Join the Big Badger Mosaic and Help Stop the Badger Cull

Speak out against government plans to kill up to 10,000 more animals this year as part of the cruel badger cull.

Badger Public Domain

Almost 4,000 badgers have been shot in Dorset, Somerset and Gloucestershire over the past three years as part of the government’s pilot badger culls. This carnage has reportedly cost the government around £6,700 per badger, and numerous reports have found that the culls are both deeply inhumane and an ineffective way to tackle bovine tuberculosis.

Yet astonishingly, the government has just issued seven new licences to kill badgers in Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Herefordshire and Somerset. We mustn’t stand for this attack on our wildlife!

Animal-protection groups across the UK are coming together to oppose this madness. We’re creating a huge mosaic in the shape of a badger, made up of thousands of compassionate people’s photos, and building a huge, visible wave of opposition on social media.

Visit Team Badger’s website and upload your selfie to the Big Badger Mosaic.

After you’ve submitted your photo for the mosaic, please also share it on social media to make some noise for badgers. Post your photo on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #ShootSelfiesNotBadgers.
