A PETA Present for the Royal Baby

Minolta DSCWhat do you get for the baby who’s bound to have everything? Well, there’s one thing that you can never have too much of – compassion – which is why we’ve just sent the soon-to-be newest member of Britain’s Royal family  a cosy faux-sheepskin blanket, which combines kindness towards animals with great snuggleability!

In our letter congratulating proud parents-to-be Prince William and Duchess Catherine, we explain that traditional wool and sheepskin are often the product of cruelty to animals and therefore hardly belong in a newborn’s cradle. Sheep can have their tails docked and be castrated without any pain relief. Workers are often rushed and shear the animals as quickly as possible, leaving the sheep with anything from small cuts to deep gashes and even amputations of protruding body parts. Once their wool production declines, sheep are sent to slaughter.

We hope other parents will also be inspired to pamper their little bundle of joy with animal-free blankets and bedding, which are just as soft and warm but were not created from suffering. Non-wool garments are also far less likely to trigger allergies – another reason to choose a blanket that’s kind to animals and kind to your baby’s sensitive skin at the same time.

These people kill animals for fun. We don’t donate to keep the royal family in blankets!

Daryl Michael is absolutely correct. These people still attended the Calgary Rodeo on their royal tour last year so I wouldn’t send any of them a brass fart.

Au contraire! It is vital that we show them over and over the way forward in avoiding cruelty to animals. Most of them use homoeopathy. The next step is more often than not becoming vegetarian and caring for animals in other ways too. Let’s hope Kate will be touched by our present and will have a good influence on William by refusing to go to any rodeos or hunts in the future.
Rome wasn’t built in one day. We must keep pushing.

Everyone knows that faux sheepskin is a cruel inhumane insult to cotton AND sheep AND real sheepskin!
