Charlotte Crosby and the Giant ‘Condoms’
Outspoken Geordie Shore cast member and Celebrity Big Brother winner Charlotte Crosby starred in an unusual demo today, as she took to the streets of London flanked by two giant “condoms” and an adorable puppy named Jumbo!
Charlotte-Letitia may have a reputation as a party girl, but today, she showed her responsible side by advocating safe sex – for cats and dogs. “There’s a lot of safe sex goes on in the Geordie Shore house – but unlike people, dogs and cats can’t play it safe without our help”, she explained. “It’s up to all of us to fix the problem of animal homelessness by fixing our animals, preventing tens of thousands of adorable animals like Jumbo from suffering and dying every year.”
Jumbo is a 3-month-old homeless dog from The Mayhew Animal Home in London – just one of thousands of cats and dogs across the UK who don’t have a home or family to care for them. Only a few of these abandoned animals end up being adopted: some are abandoned on the streets, where they starve to death, are injured or killed by vehicles or fall prey to abuse. Others are euthanised by shelters because there’s simply nowhere for them to go.
There’s only one solution to “fix” the animal overpopulation crisis: by spaying and neutering our dogs and cats and by adopting from animal shelters instead of buying from pet shops or breeders.
