PETA Paul McCartney Birthday Celebration

At 72 years old and still a living legend, music icon, vegetarian and PETA supporter Paul McCartney is celebrating his birthday today. To mark the occasion and to thank Paul for being such a good friend to animals, “look-alikes” wearing masks gathered outside Liverpool’s famous Cavern Club (where The Beatles played their first gig) to hand out veggie sausages and copies of Paul’s hard-hitting PETA video “Glass Walls”.

As a vegetarian, Paul puts the famed 1960s principles of peace and love into practice every time he eats, saving animals from immense suffering on factory farms, in abattoirs and on the decks of fishing boats. As he puts it:

“When I see bacon, I see a pig, I see a little friend, and that’s why I can’t eat it. Simple as that”.

Paul’s convictions about his diet have inspired many others to follow in his footsteps. If you haven’t yet seen the life-changing video “Glass Walls”, which he narrates, here it is in full:

Thanks Paul we need people of ur stature 2 speak out for animals. The way we treat them is a disgrace.

We do need people like Paul to speak out for animals, there’s so much disturbing cruelty going on with helpless animals and they can’t speak out or fight back they don’t have a choice and it’s to sad!!!!

I just come across a video about China Fur and how they get it and it lead me here. I am so disgusted in what I just seen. How is it that we are so intelligent yet so stupid to let things like that happen?

I think we need to change or get wiped out. Some people dont deserve to live.

Why do we as people do such horrible and bad things. How do we all get together and tell each other NO MORE OF THIS!

Do they not think animals feel the pain like we do? Doesn’t doing what they do to animals give them that killer instinct to be willing to do it to a human being?

    Its all wrong

Paul mccartney, you are a wonderful man! I am so glad that famous people, like yourself, can help to spread the word on animal torture. I wish more people cared like you do.

It constantly plays on my mind the views that human lives are more valuable than animals’ lives, mainly due to the fact that we are more intelligent. Animals have exactly the same organs and ability to feel love or pain, so the difference being that our brains happen be more sophisticated…does that mean that it is ok to kill and torture babies or handicapped adults? Where is the bar in this moral problem?

Paul McCartney is indisputably the greatest and most famous animal loving vegetarian in the music industry. In recent years Brian May has been a compassionate, compelling and popular voice for the humane treatment of all animals. Guitar icon Jeff Beck has been an animal loving vegetarian since 1969. Morrissey is great too but he abandoned England and lives in Hollywood California.

Today is a day of celebration, you toil for decades today, descendants gathered to share their grandchildren, I wish you a life and days together, and wish for a better tomorrow!
