It’s Naughty Not to Neuter

Hot on the heels of his Brit award nomination, comes a new collaboration from Naughty Boy. Along with his beloved cat, the delightfully named Naughty Bob, the musician and producer has teamed up with PETA to raise awareness of animal overpopulation.

It's Naughty Not to Neuter!

The man behind the chart-topping single “La La La” and the bestselling album Hotel Cabana, who has worked with artists such as Chipmunk, Wiley and Leona Lewis, shows his nice side in the new ad by encouraging his fans to make sure that their animal companions are practicing “safe sex” and staying out of mischief, because the number of unwanted cats and dogs in this country is leading to a homelessness crisis.

He explains that “there’s no excuse for not neutering. Animal shelters are overcrowded  with dogs and cats, and that will continue as long as too many puppies and kittens are being born. We can fix the problem by ‘fixing’ our dogs and cats”.

Each year, thousands of cats and dogs in animal shelters end up being killed because there aren’t enough good homes for them. Other animals are abandoned on the streets, where they starve to death, are injured or killed by vehicles or fall prey to abuse. Spaying and neutering is the solution.

Naughty Boy (or Shahid Khan as he’s otherwise known) joins an impressive list of celebs who have spoken out on this issue. Simon Cowell, Morrissey and Justin Bieber are among the stars who have come out publicly to support our spay-and-neuter and “Adopt, Don’t Buy” campaigns.

PETA US’ mobile spay-and-neuter clinic is helping to address the problem in America by sterilising thousands of animals a month. You can help, too, by making sure that your furry friends are fixed – spaying just one dog can prevent the birth of an unbelievable 67,000 others  over the course of six years, so it really does make a huge difference.
