Must-See Documentary ‘The Ghosts in Our Machine’ Comes to the UK and Ireland

Posted by 9 months ago | Permalink | Comments (83)

The award-winning documentary The Ghosts in Our Machine is coming to the UK – and we have three pairs of tickets to give away!

The Ghosts in Our Machine tells the stories of the animals who suffer behind the scenes in some of the world’s most powerful industries. It takes an unflinching look at the fur trade, laboratories, modern farming and the use of animals in entertainment through the lens of empathy and compassion for the non-human animals at the heart of them all.

Even the trailer is enough to give you goose bumps:

The film features photography from award-winning photojournalist Jo-Anne McArthur – whose spectacular and moving pictures you may already have seen featured on our website and elsewhere.

We Animals Larry copyWhere to See It

We encourage everyone who can to seize the opportunity to see this important and eye-opening film! These are the screenings currently scheduled in Ireland and the UK – the director, Liz Marshall, will also be giving a Q&A session after the film at each of them:

We will let you know if more screenings are added. If you’re based outside the UK, you may be able to watch the film online.

Contest is now closed. Thanks for all the comments.

I’d like tickets to the London showing – I know it’s going to be harrowing and upsetting, but it’s content like this that needs to be seen so desperately. I’m hoping that it will spark another wave of outrage and compassion for these creatures that is long overdue.

As a result I am slowly progressing to a vegan lifestyle. I love what Peta stand for and bring to light.

I admire Liz Marshall and Jo-Anne McArthur, their brilliant work… but how could i “like” the content?!? It only breaks your heart… if you have one.

  • david duff commented on July 8, 2014 at 7:49 am

Animal cruelty upsets me so much I truly wonder if I am brave enough to watch this film. Even the trailer was profundly upsetting
However, we will achieve nothing through ignorance and for this I enter this ‘competition’.
My heart is lifted by the work of animal activists and whilst there is a long way to go some real progress has been made by people of true grace and valour
I hope whoever wins this competiotn will grow to be such a person

    London please.
    Vegetarian and animal lover
Saving snails on my way to work from being crushed by people that do not look where they walk makes me happy and feel good.

Animals love you for who you are not for who you are trying to be and I would love to work with pets instead than with people! But can’t offer much apart from love and can’t afford it!
