Peter Dinklage: Don’t Pay for Cruelty

In Game of Thrones, Tyrion Lannister may face his share of bloodshed and violence, but in real life, Peter Dinklage, the actor who plays him, is a real softie. As a longtime vegetarian, Peter actively abstains from violence through his diet, saving many animals’ lives a year.

In a new video for PETA US, he urges meat-eaters to face their food and reflect on the harmful effects of the meat, egg and dairy industries.

If you found watching the video harrowing, imagine what it feels like for animals who endure this suffering for a lifetime. As Peter says:

“The images that you’re about to see might make you want to turn away, but this is what you pay for every time you buy meat, eggs and dairy products”.

Tens of millions of people around the world are making the same compassionate choice as Peter and opting for a plant-based diet. Thanks to the wide variety of vegan food available in restaurants and supermarkets these days, there’s really no excuse not to put your principles into practice.

If you were affected by any of the scenes in the video but still consume animals, please do what you know is right. We’re here to help: PETA.org.uk/pledge.
