Spanish City Says ‘Adiós’ to Circuses

Posted by 4 years ago | Permalink | Comments (4)

The town of Molins de Rei has joined more than 60 other Spanish cities that have enacted bans against circuses that use animals.

Our colleagues at Asociación Animalista Libera received overwhelming support from city officials after pointing out that animals in circuses live in cramped cages and are beaten with bullhooks and whips in order to force them to obey. The ban includes all exhibitors that use wild animals.

Join PETA’s Action Team and start a campaign to ban animal acts underway in your own town.

I highly commend the city officials of Molins de Rei for banning circuses and exhibitions that use animal. Ive seen the pictures of the rigling circus who torture and mutilate elephants, it sickened me the first time I saw those pictures, it still does. I have seen the horror that circuses bring to animals so I will ever ever go to the circus, PETA with your help we will wipe this cruel practice of the face of the earth.

The post I made has a mistake I meant “I will never ever go to the circus”. Sorry.

There is animal welfare progress in Spain. Now they MUST outlaw ALL bullfighting.
