The family behind this street food truck uses a custom wood-fired oven to cook sourdough pizzas to order. The menu is seasonal and focuses on top-quality ingredients. Vegans are well catered for here, as proven by a recent experience involving dairy-free cheese, butternut squash purée, sliced pear, pine nuts and rocket. Delicious!

Bacco Lounge

The Bacco Lounge in Rugby is a beautifully refurbished old department store with floor-to-ceiling windows. The separate vegan menu features brunch as well as tapas, paninis and burgers with toppings. The cocktails are fabulous, and the bar also stocks vegan wine.

Coventry Hummus House

If you love falafel, go and see the experts at Hummus House. Everything is freshly made in front of you by the wonderful, friendly staff. You can get a delicious hot wrap filled with falafel, hummus, salad, pickles and chilli sauce for £3. The fresh cinnamon-and-ginger tea makes a perfect complement.

Noodle Bar

Japanese udon with tofu and aubergine blackbean noodles. My favourite! ❤️ #coventry #uk #noodlebar #foodporn

This authentic Chinese restaurant is popular for its big bowl meal deal. Create your own vegan feast by choosing from a list of cooking styles, sauces, soups and toppings. Try tofu, mixed vegetables and cashew nuts with rice noodles in soup. The Chinese tea served in a traditional teapot is lovely.

This café bar and bistro serves traditional home-cooked food. Vegans are well looked after with a substantial three-course menu. It’s well situated on a picturesque cobbled street, a stone’s throw from the old Coventry cathedral. Outdoor seating makes it a lovely place to hang out in the summer.

This Mexican restaurant has a great atmosphere and an open kitchen. There’s a terrific vegan selection on the menu and two-for-one cocktails between 9 and 11 pm. It’s always busy here, so be sure to book!
