Top British squash player James Willstrop is hoping to go one better in the Commonwealth Games in Delhi after coming in a close second in the ROWE British Grand Prix – the biggest squash event in Europe. James previously starred in PETA’s “Squash Obesity – Go Vegetarian!” ad, and he’s a high-profile example of a leading athlete who knows that going vegetarian benefits both one’s sporting performance and animals.

In an interview with PETA, James said, “Meat has no place in a professional athlete’s diet. Since I stopped eating meat, I’m faster, I have more energy, and I know that my decision has saved countless animals’ lives”. You can follow James’ progress at the Commonwealth Games on his website and follow his animal-friendly example by ordering a free vegetarian /vegan starter kit.

Good luck from all of us here at PETA, James!
