Vintage at Goodwood’s Wayne Hemingway Is a Hero to Animals

HeroToAnimals300_largeLegendary British designer Wayne Hemingway is the worthy recipient of a PETA UK Hero to Animals Award for his decades-long campaign against the cruel fur trade.

Since first coming to public attention as the co-founder of Red or Dead, the clothing and accessories company which won three consecutive Street Style Designer of the Year awards in the late ’90s, Wayne has never missed a chance to let the fashionistas at London Fashion Week know that cruelty to animals is never in fashion. Now Wayne is the creative genius behind this weekend’s Vintage at Goodwood – a celebration of music, fashion, film and design from the ’40s through the ’80s. At the event, all the 200-plus stalls selling retro fashions will be fur-free.

Congratulations on the award, Wayne, and good luck with the event!
