We are so excited about the opening of Warner Bros.’ film Born to Be Wild 3D in IMAX theatres on 18 June. Narrated by Morgan Freeman, the film follows the lives of orphaned orangutans and elephants and the extraordinary people who rescue, protect and rehabilitate them. World-renowned primatologist Dr. Biruté Mary Galdikas and eminent elephant authority Dame Daphne Sheldrick work in Borneo and Africa to return wild animals to their natural habitats against all odds.

The competition is now closed, thanks to all that participated.

because we dont keep humans in cages, animals are just as much alive and living creatures as we are, they have rights just as we do, freedom should be no.1 for animals just the same as it should be for humans.

Animals should not be kept in cages because they have never broke any laws. They are without sin and give live and happiness to the world. And NEVER should they be eaten.

Animals should not be kept in cages because they are relaxed in its their environment. They know of no restrictions and go about their own business of ingestion and drinking and creating babies. We cannot picture the frustration that they feel, besides being cruel, it serves little rationale to want to cage animals and animals being enslaved up serve our selfish pleasure of license over others and that’s about all that we do. Animals should be left liberated in their habitats and should be given as much openness as workable. The only rationale for sentence animals is when they are a hazard to themselves or to others. Nevertheless, rough animals should never be captured in the first place.

Animals should not be kept in cages because no animal is born to be locked down. We are just one more species of planet Earth, we need to stop treating the other ones as our property.

they should be free to fly, (high up in the sky!) free to roam, free to prowl, free to be! animals are born to be wild!

Animals should not be kept in cages because they are born to be wild! We all should live and let live and we (humans and animals) should all have the right to freedom.

Animals Should Not Be kept in Cages Because They are Just Like Us.

Animals should not be kept in cages because they are born to be wild and it makes them sad and us humans disrespectful of live.

…no animal should have to go through such misery and pain at our hands.

Animals should not be kept in cages because a cage is not where they belong, a cage is not where animals deserve to be, a cage is a prison, except these prisoners are innocent. Charging over deserts, leaping across tree-tops and gushing through waters are where animals deserve to be, where they should be, where nature wants them to be, not shoved in a box of metal bars. Animals are ‘born to be wild’ which is why elephants have hose-like trunks to spray themselves with water when they freely decide to, with their herds, (who, by being in a cage, they are ripped appart from) find a pool, and is why orang-utans have long, strong arms, to reach for the branches of the rainforests of Borneo. Man has no right to tear animals from their environment, their livelihood, their families. Man has no right, or even sense of morality, to bar up such helpless creatures, whether it’s an elephant or an orang-utan, or even those animals not mentioned such as; hens, rabbits, dogs or crocodiles, for their own, selfish reasons. This is why animals should not be caged, and quite frankly, I and all other decent human beings, should not even have to be reasoning to it, it should be common fact that cageing an animal is preposterous.

… how would we like to be put in a cage and goggled at? They should all be left to live freely in their own natural habitats.

Animals should not be kept in cages because they were born to be wild!

Animals should not be kept in cages because they should have the right to live their lives to the full as nature intended.

  • Kerry Madge commented on June 5, 2011 at 11:51 am

Animals should not be kept in cages because animals are innocent and have not done anything to people but exist, and to put them in cages is like punishment. If we put people in cages, it is considered wrong, except for putting away criminals. Animals haven’t done anything and are innocent and so they shouldn’t get the same treatment as humans who have done wrong. Some animals have been on this planet far longer than humans, and to put them away in cages is disrespectful. Humans are given rights and are able to live happy lives and have freedom, so its unjust that animals are not given the same.

Animals should not be kept in cages because they are not here for our enjoyment. Our enjoyment is their suffering. Anyone who finds watching caged animals for entertainment or so-called educational reasons pleasant should be put in a cage instead. People who believe that it keeps species from going extinct should remember that the extinction of certain species is often a direct result of the way we manage our planet! If a species is almost extinct then they should be in a sanctuary but not in a cage. There were times where mentally of physically disabled people were also kept in cages and paraded in front of people, because of their severe or odd physical appearance. Thankfully now days it is not acceptable any more. Because it is cruel. Hopefully we will see the time come when we see caged animals the same way.

Animals should not be kept in cages because we have no right or reason to do so

  • Will Robert John Davis commented on June 6, 2011 at 11:35 pm

Man has no right of authority over our co-inhabiters. The action of caging is not only disadvantageous towards them, it has zero positives or productive results towards our species and environment. The cage is man made and has no place in this world unless its creators feels the need for self restriction. Love you animals (minus human-animals) x

Animals should not be kept in cages, simply because they have a desire and a right to lead free lives and make their own choices. When kept in zoos, they become the slaves of human animals, because every choice and right is taken away from them.

animals should not be kept in cages because there are no reasons why they should

  • Alicia Hegarty commented on June 7, 2011 at 9:45 pm

Animals should not be kept in cages because cages are MANMADE!
Mother Nature never made a WIRE CAGE – HUMAN BEINGS DID!
Human Beings have a lot to learn from the Natural World and Animals especially – if only we were not so caught up in the material things of life like money and profit and how the fur trade and other cruelty of beautiful creatures here on earth provides a profit for those people in this world who make MONEY their GOD!

Animals should not be kept in cages because they can’t live their life, cages = jail.
One day im going to open all the cages at the london zoo. If this will happen, well, that’s me. :D

  • Hasrinah Hasbullah commented on June 8, 2011 at 3:03 pm

Animals should not be kept in cages because they need the freedom and mother nature so they can live the life they are meant to be, but some temporary cages do meant well, like the vets, to keep wounded animals and care them to well :)
