Dawn CarrA sampling of what PETA Europe has done in the last year is before you, and it is certainly diverse. How do we pick our battles? By trying to touch the public’s imagination and heart and by choosing targets that will result in great change for large numbers of animals.

Everyone eats, so we have done our best to try to eliminate the worst abuses in factory farming and slaughterhouses. And because we know that even when the worst abuses are gone, many others still remain, we have also promoted a compassionate vegan diet, providing all the resources, from recipes to health tips, that a person could ever need. We have revolutionised the way companies do business, getting them to stop selling fur, boycott Australian merino wool and abandon painful animal tests in favour of sophisticated non-animal methods.

It’s a tough job, but we are up to the task because of our supporters who cheer us on, fuelling the flames of our work to establish respect and understanding for animals.

Kind regards,

Dawn Carr
