Lovely, leggy Yana Booth, who currently reigns as Miss Great Britain, bares all in PETA’s new advert that calls for the retirement of real bear fur from Queen’s Household Guards’ hats. Yana, the beauty queen, has also written an impassioned plea to Her Majesty to save the bears.

Despite Britain’s longstanding ban on the use of steel-jaw traps, the Queen’s Household Division still wear real fur from bears who suffer and die in these barbaric devices and from bears who are shot to death. Hunters often shoot bears several times before the animals die. Some bears escape after being shot and face a lingering death from blood loss, gangrene, dehydration or infection.

‘Her Majesty can help relegate these cruelly made hats to Britain’s history books where they belong’, writes Ms Booth. ‘Won’t you please assure me and my friends at PETA that you will request the use of a suitable faux fur fabric to keep the Guards looking regal, rather than the skins of bears torn from their forest homes and families?’
