Contest Terms and Conditions

1. Contest Entry and Choosing and Contacting Winners
Entrants must send entries as required in the contest announcement. PETA will not be responsible for and will not consider incomplete or incorrect entries. PETA is not responsible for entries that are sent but not received by PETA for any reason.

All winners will be notified via e-mail. If the winner does not respond to the notification within five (5) business days, another winner will be chosen. Failure to respond within five (5) business days shall mean that the winner forfeits the prize.

Only one entry per e-mail address will be considered for contest entry, unless multiple entries are specifically allowed in the contest announcement.

2. Submission of Photos, Text, or Other Content for Contests
All photos, text, and other content or information submitted by you to PETA shall become the property of PETA, and PETA shall have no obligation to preserve, return, or otherwise make available to you or others any photos or information so submitted.

You understand that because PETA becomes the owner of all photos, text, and other content or information submitted by you, PETA and its officers, directors, employees, successors, and assigns may use, reproduce, edit, display, transmit, prepare derivative works of, modify, publish, and otherwise make use of the submitted photos, text, and other content or information in any and all media, whether now known or hereinafter created, throughout the world and for any purpose without compensation to you of any kind.

By submitting any photo, text, or other content or information to PETA, you hereby represent and warrant that the submitted photo, text, or other content or information does not infringe on any copyright or trademark, any rights of privacy or publicity of any person, or any other right of any third party and that you have the right to transfer the photo, text, or other content or information to PETA free and clear of any claims or encumbrances.

You acknowledge and agree that PETA shall have no obligation to post, display, or otherwise make publicly available any photo, text, or content or other information submitted by you.

You further understand and intend that any photo, text, and other content or information submitted by you to PETA may be available for viewing, rating, reviewing, and commenting by the public and understand that comments or ratings that you disagree with or are unhappy about may be published or otherwise become associated with any photo, text, or other content or information that you submit to PETA. By submitting any photo, text, or other content or information to PETA, you hereby waive any privacy expectations that you may have with respect to any such photo, text, or other content or information submitted by you to PETA.

You hereby agree to hold PETA and its officers, directors, employees, successors, and assigns harmless from and against—and hereby waive any right to pursue—any claims of any nature arising in connection with PETA’s use of the photos, text, or other content or information submitted by you to PETA and used in any manner in PETA’s sole and absolute discretion.

Any contests requiring photos, text, or other content from the entrants will be judged entirely at the discretion of PETA. Decisions by PETA are final.

3. Age
All entrants and winners must be 18 years of age or older, unless otherwise stated or posted.

4. Awarding Prizes
Winners may not request substitutions of prize winnings. All winners are solely responsible for any and all taxes and/or fees as well as all additional costs that may be incurred.

Neither PETA nor its sponsors, employees, volunteers, agents, or assigns may be held liable for any warranty, costs, damage, injury, or any other claims incurred as a result of the usage of a prize by any winners once possession has been taken of the product by the winner. PETA is not liable for any loss arising out of or in connection with any contest promoted by PETA.

If the specified prize becomes unavailable for any reason, PETA may substitute a prize of like or equal value.

5. Legal Prohibitions
This contest and its terms are void where prohibited by law.

PETA reserves the right to terminate any contest at any time without prior notice.

PETA reserves the right to alter any contest rules at any time.

By entering a contest, you acknowledge that you accept and agree to be bound by these contest rules.

6. Odds
In contests in which winners are picked at random, the odds of winning depend upon the number of entries received. In contests in which winners are chosen based upon skill or accomplishments, winners will be selected by PETA on the merits of each entry, in PETA’s sole discretion, and the odds of winning such a contest may depend upon the other entries received.

7. No purchase is necessary to enter this contest.
