Dear Burberry,

I am writing to ask you to stop using real fur in your designs.

Burberry's use of fur is not acceptable in the 21st century. There are many luxurious, high-quality faux-fur alternatives available. A switch to faux fur would spare the lives of countless animals.

No compassionate consumer would consider the fur trade to be ethical, and thankfully for animals, more than 93 per cent of British consumers state they would never wear or buy fur. Modern designers such as Stella McCartney, Vivienne Westwood and Tommy Hilfiger have all taken the fur-free pledge. I hope that you will do everything in your power to ensure Burberry does the same.

Sincerely,
