Vegans are taking over the UK and Ireland! On the streets, in magazines, and on television, radiant, compassionate vegans are proving that a clear conscience and a healthful, plant-filled diet are what’s hot in 2017.

PETA’s annual competition seeks out the vegans who dazzle the most – with their fabulous good looks and compassionate hearts – and who use the attention that they get to speak out most compellingly for animals. Do you have what it takes?

Gauthier Soho

Details on entering the contest are provided below. In addition to the covetable title, each winner – one man and one woman – will receive an eight-course vegan taster menu for two at top London restaurant Gauthier Soho.

The high-end eatery’s Michelin-starred chef, Alexis Gauthier, first offered a vegan menu for World Vegan Month – and the response was so overwhelmingly positive that he’s decided to make the plant-based menu a permanent fixture.

The vegan menu has even had some A-list fans: cookbook author Ella Mills, movie star Tom Cruise, environmentalist Al Gore, and ethical fashion designer Stella McCartney have all reportedly enjoyed Gauthier’s 100 per cent plant-based dishes.

Enter for a chance to win! After reading the complete contest rules, fill out the form below for a chance to be named the UK and Ireland’s Hottest Vegan of 2017!

  • Hottest Vegan 2016 - Anthony

  • Hottest Vegan - Stefanie

Past Hottest Vegan winners have used their titles to prove to the world that vegans have big hearts – and healthier ones, too. They act as vegan advocates in newspaper and radio interviews and show that vegans, on average, are fitter and trimmer than meat-eaters, have a lower risk of developing heart disease, and are less prone to suffering from cancer, diabetes, and obesity – and they’re avoiding cruelty to animals at the same time.

The entry round ends on 13 July 2017. PETA will assess two factors in its selection of finalists: the enthusiasm demonstrated by each qualified entrant in promoting vegan eating and each qualified entrant’s attractiveness. The finalists will be announced by 18 July 2017. Public voting to help PETA decide on the winners will begin by 18 July 2017 and end on 28 July 2017. PETA will consider three factors in its selection of the two winners (one male and one female): the number of public votes received by each finalist, the enthusiasm demonstrated by each finalist in promoting vegan eating, and, of course, each finalist’s attractiveness. The winners will be notified and announced by 4 August 2017.
