Group Warns That Animal Abusers Are Likely to Escalate Behaviour Unless Stopped

Stirling – PETA is offering a reward of up to £1,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a man who kicked a pigeon to death in Stirling’s city centre. The incident took place in Port Street at 14:15 on 4 April. The man was in his late 20s and was wearing a blue jacket and denim jeans and pushing a pram in the company of a woman.

Would you please share this information with your audience to help apprehend the person responsible for this cruel act?

“It is imperative that any community faced with the abuse of animals take measures to find the culprit or culprits and stop the violence”, says PETA spokesperson Ben Williamson. “Animal abusers are a danger to everyone – they take their issues out on whomever is available to them, human or non-human.”

History shows that past incidents involving cruelty to animals regularly appear in the records of serial rapists and murderers. Young killers Mary Bell, Robert Thompson and Jon Venables as well as serial murderers Ian Huntley, Thomas Hamilton (the Dunblane massacre), Fred West, Dennis Nilsen, Ian Brady and Raoul Moat all started out by deliberately harming animals.

Anyone with information about this case is encouraged to contact Forth Valley Wildlife Crime Officer PC Malcolm O’May on 101.
