London - When the voting at PETA.org.uk ended this morning, two winners emerged: dashing George Lamb and elegant Olivia Wilde. The dreamy Lamb, who presents Big Brother’s Little Brother on Channel 4, went vegetarian after becoming upset following the slaughter of a goat for ITV's The Parent Trip Son programme. Animal lover and activist Olivia Wilde has saved lives on Fox's hit show House and has saved the lives of animals off-screen by choosing a vegan diet.
Many other celebrities - including last year's winners, EastEnders' Scott Maslen, two-time winner Leona Lewis, and previous winners Russell Brand, Fiona Phillips, Anthony Kiedis, Tobey Maguire, André 3000 and Alicia Silverstone - have gone vegetarian to protect animals, the environment and their own health.
