Finalist Voting Round in Contest to Help PETA Decide Who it Should Crown the Hottest Vegan Man and Woman Is Open
London – What do the eight finalists in PETA's Sexiest Vegan in the UK and Ireland competition for 2014 have in common with Ellie Goulding, Jared Leto, Natalie Portman, Joaquin Phoenix, Jessica Chastain and even former US President Bill Clinton? They are all sizzlingly sexy vegans! The four female and four male finalists beat out stiff competition from around the British Isles.
Jenna McGuinness, 23, from Glasgow; Sophia Attwood-Clarke, 23, from Loughborough; Kate Laycy, 33, from Manchester; Lisa-Marie Williams, 24, from Dundee; Byron Higgins, 29, from Colchester; Seth Taggart, 40, from Brighton; Gareth Lloyd, 27, from Oxford; and Matthew Oakes, 26, from Staffordshire are all proud vegans and animal rights advocates.
"Compassion for others is not only a sign of strength but also a big turn-on", says PETA's Yvonne Taylor. "Everyone who entered this contest is a winner because they know that the best thing that people can do for animals, the planet and their own health is to go vegan."

You can vote for your favourite contestants – one woman and one man – to let PETA know who you think it should select as winners. Two winners (one female and one male) will each receive a night for two and lunch at the beautiful Lancrigg Vegetarian Country House Hotel in Grasmere, Cumbria, plus a vegan dinner for two at Cumbria's elegant Zeffirellis restaurant.
Voting on the finalists to help PETA determine the winners will run from today to 11 April. Winners will be chosen by PETA based on several factors, including vote count, and will be announced on 15 April. See the full contest details here.
All the finalists are available for interviews. Please contact PETA to arrange one. For more information and to vote in the contest, please visit PETA.org.uk.
