Charlie Brown’S New PETA Advert Shows Fur On The Wayout

London – To coincide with the release of his new single, “Bones”, quickly rising South London star Charlie Brown is teaming up with PETA for a new anti-fur campaign in which the “On My Way” singer gazes into the camera above the words “Be Beautiful in Your Own Skin, and Let Animals Keep Theirs. Say NO to fur and fur trim.” The new advert is available here.

“If I can use my voice to make a difference in the world”, Brown says, “I will – so I’m proud to work with PETA to speak out against fur. We can have luxury and style, without wearing fur”.

Animals on fur factory farms spend their lives in cramped, wire-bottomed cages, surrounded by their own waste until they are strangled, electrocuted, beaten or even skinned alive. Foxes, raccoons and other animals caught in the wild can languish for days in traps and will even chew through their own limbs in a desperate attempt to escape. In China, the world’s leading exporter of fur, fur from dogs and cats is often falsely labelled as fur from other animals before it is exported.

Although Brown’s career in the spotlight is just beginning, his behind-the-scenes work in the music industry goes back a decade. Among his many song-writing credits is the first album by fellow PETA supporter Jay Sean.

Brown joins a long list of celebrities – including Simon CowellNatalie Imbruglia, Pink, Jamie Bamber,Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Joss Stone and many others – who have teamed up with PETA or its overseas affiliates to speak out against fur.
