Spanish Beauty’s Risqué PETA Campaign Provides More Reasons to Go Vegetarian

London – Lounging on a fruit and veg stand and covered only by a vine of grapes and a pair of luscious melons, former WAG Elen Rivas stars in a sexy new ad campaign for People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) that proclaims, “Spanish Melons: One Reason to Go Vegetarian”. The ad, which can be seen here, was shot by top celebrity photographer Pal Hansen. It goes on to point to more great reasons to switch to meat-free meals: “Vegetarians are, on average, slimmer than meat-eaters and have lower rates of heart disease and cancer”.

“Going vegetarian was one of the best decisions my girls and I have made. It’s had a positive impact on us on so many different levels”, Elen says. “It’s healthier, we feel much more alive and we have so much fun cooking delicious meat-free meals!”

Going vegetarian isn’t just good for your health. Each person who goes vegetarian drastically reduces his or her carbon footprint and spares many animals every year immense suffering on factory farms, in abattoirs and on the decks of fishing boats.

Rivas is part of a growing list of celebrities – including Pamela Anderson, Alicia Silverstone, Casey Affleck, Paul McCartney, Joaquin Phoenix, John Bishop and Emily Deschanel – who have teamed up with PETA and its affiliates to promote healthy and humane meat-free meals.
