PETA Ad Reveals What All Animals Are Made Of

London – Wearing nothing but paint markings that mimic a butcher’s diagram – with her flesh marked “breast”, “round” and “rump” – Made in Chelsea‘s Lucy Watson stars in a brand-new ad campaign for PETA that proclaims, “All Animals Have the Same Parts. Have a Heart – Try Vegetarian”. And to kick off the new campaign, Watson appeared in person on World Vegetarian Day to unveil a poster of the provocative ad in Covent Garden.

PETA and Lucy’s point? Animals are made of flesh, blood and bone, just as humans are. We have the same bodily organs, the same five senses and the same range of emotions. And of course, none of us wants to die violently.

“Animals are so much more than just ‘breasts’, ‘thighs’ and ‘rumps’. They’re smart, inquisitive individuals with their own unique personalities, and I can’t imagine eating any one of them” Watson says. “I hope that my new campaign will help other people make the same decision.”

Vegetarian meals are a great way to reduce the risk of suffering from heart disease, cancer, strokes, diabetes and obesity, and they spare animals immense suffering on factory farms and in abattoirs. They are also “green”, as raising animals for food is responsible for an enormous amount of water pollution, land degradation and greenhouse-gas emissions.

Watson joins a growing list of celebrities – including Phil Neville, John Bishop, Chantelle Houghton and Joss Stone – who have teamed up with PETA to promote a healthy, humane diet. She also posed for PETA’s iconic “I’d Rather Go Naked Than Wear Fur” ad campaign earlier this year.
