Reward of Up to £2,000 Offered After Kittens Found Dumped in a Bin
Penwortham, Lancashire – PETA is offering a reward of up to £2,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for dumping four kittens in a bin in Penwortham. The kittens, three females and one male, were found dumped in a shopping bag inside a bin next to a wooded area on Hill Road South at around 11.30 p.m. on 17 April, with their umbilical cords still attached. The RSPCA confirmed that the kittens were only two to three days old when they were discovered, and would have perished if they hadn’t been rescued.
“We’re calling on anyone who has information about this case to come forward so that whoever abandoned these animals can be held accountable and prevented from endangering anyone else,” says PETA Vice President of Programmes Elisa Allen. “It takes a disturbing and dangerous lack of empathy to abandon living, feeling beings like rubbish.”
The RSPCA is urging anyone with firsthand information about the incident to call its appeals line on 0300 123 8018 quoting reference number 01496008.
PETA – whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to abuse in any other way” – points out that Every Animal Is Someone and offers free Empathy Kits. For more information, please visit PETA.org.uk or follow the group on Facebook, X, TikTok, or Instagram.
