Tim Burton Creates Custom Art of His Dog Levi for Limited Edition PETA US Merch

Los Angeles – Legendary Beetlejuice and Wednesday director Tim Burton loves dogs – especially his own dog Levi – which is why he collaborated with PETA US to create one-of-a-kind custom illustrations featuring the playful pup for a limited-edition line of t-shirts, tote bags, and bandanas. The whimsical wearables are available now in the PETA US shop and will enable animal allies everywhere to show off their fandom and remind everyone to always adopt – never shop – and have their animal companions spayed or neutered. All proceeds from sales of the line will go toward PETA entities’ vital work.

“This unique collection is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for fans, film buffs, and fashionistas to own an original piece of Tim Burton’s art and help homeless animals at the same time,” says PETA US’s Director of Communications Lauren Thomasson. “PETA encourages everyone to pop into the PETA shop and snag this marvelous merch before it runs out.”

Every year, hundreds of thousands of dogs and cats end up in shelters, and many of them must be euthanised simply because there aren’t enough good homes for them. The group points out that life with an animal companion can be extremely rewarding, but it’s also a huge responsibility that takes time, resources, patience, and commitment.

Burton joins a long list of celebrities – Including Brian Cox, Ron Perlman, Tom Hardy, Greg James, and Cristin Milioti – who have teamed up with PETA and its international entities to promote adoption. In February, Burton won PETA US’s Best Director Oscat award for portraying animals through cutting-edge technology – Including CGI, props, animatronics, and figurines – and casting his own dog in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.

PETA – whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to abuse in any way” – opposes speciesism, a human-supremacist worldview. For more information, please visit PETA.org.uk or follow PETA on Facebook, X, TikTok, or Instagram.
