About PETA

Intern at PETA

Help PETA staff spread the word about animal rights! As a PETA intern, you can help with the following:

  • Grassroots outreach activities, including stunts, demonstrations and tabling events
  • Generating editorials, articles and letters to the editor
  • Counselling students, parents and teachers on dissection and humane-education issues and distributing educational materials to schools
  • Conducting library and online research

Interns also do office work, attend demonstrations, prepare mailings and work on special projects.

In general, life at PETA is interesting – but very demanding as well. Interns are considered part of the PETA staff and, as such, must be reliable and flexible (ie, able to switch from one project to another as necessary). We depend a great deal on our interns and appreciate their patience and hard work. In turn, our interns expand their knowledge, experience the inner workings of a grassroots movement and gain the satisfaction that comes with working to alleviate animal suffering.

How to Apply

There are no deadlines for internship applications. We accept them year-round and review them as they arrive. We make a decision within two weeks of receiving an application.

To apply, download PETA's intern application form, print it out, complete it, attach your curriculum vitae and two letters of recommendation and return it to the following address.
