As long as Urban Outfitters brands continue to sell wool and other animal-derived materials, you are condemning gentle animals to endure suffering, fear, and death.

Have you seen PETA’s most recent exposé of the wool industry, which reveals that sheep in Australia are still being violently kicked, beaten, and left with gaping, bloody wounds after aggressive, rushed shearing?

The new footage shows that shearing leaves many sheep cut up and bleeding. The investigator saw shearers cut lengthy strips of skin off sheep. One animal was given no painkillers before a shearer attempted to stitch up her gaping wound with a needle that appeared to be blunt. Another sheep was probably in labour when a shearer cut her on her vaginal prolapse – which was about the size of a melon – with his sharp metal clippers.

All of your brands sell wool from Australia. I urge you to drop wool – and all other animal-derived materials – and stop supporting animal abuse. There is simply no need to use animals for fashion, especially when innovative, stylish vegan wool, leather, and other textiles, many of which you already sell, exist on the market.
