Leather Is Someone’s Skin – Why PETA Protested Coach

PETA supporters reminded Coach that “leather is someone’s skin” at its Regent Street store with a gruesome display.

Humans and cows are the same in all the ways that matter – as highlighted by the demonstration, which involved an activist having their throat slit before being “skinned”.

Leather is someone

Every leather bag is stitched with the misery of a thinking, feeling being who died in agony.

Where Your Leather Bag Comes From

A PETA exposé of the world’s largest leather processor – which has been linked to Coach – showed that workers brand calves on the face, beat cows and bulls, and shock them with electric prods.

Fuelling the Destruction of Our Climate

Producing cow leather contributes significantly to water pollution and depletion and emits massive amounts of greenhouse gases – far more than are generated in the production of any synthetic or plant-based vegan leather.

The leather industry also contributes to the climate catastrophe, land devastation, deforestation, pollution, water contamination, and biodiversity loss.

Every Animal Is Someone

Cows have friends, hold grudges against other cows, and mourn when a loved one dies or they’re separated.

Urge Coach to Drop Leather

PETA is calling on Coach to spare cows by banning leather from its clothing lines. Please never wear an animal’s skin, and send a message to Coach now:
