Reward of Up to £5,000 Offered to Catch Thug(s) Responsible for Stabbing a Dog to Death

Solihull, West Midlands – PETA is offering a reward of up to £5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for stabbing a dog to death in Solihull. According to reports, a male dog was found dead under a bridge near Kingshurst Brook in Bosworth Drive, Chelmsley Wood, on Friday, 10 July, with multiple stab wounds. The RSPCA has confirmed that they believe he was killed elsewhere and dumped at the site.

“It’s imperative that any community faced with a cruel and callous act such as this take measures to find the culprit and bring them to justice,” says PETA Senior Vice President Mimi Bekhechi. “Animal abusers are a danger to everyone: they take their issues out on whoever is available to them – humans or other animals – and must be caught before they act again.”

History shows that past incidents involving cruelty to animals regularly appear in the records of serial rapists and murderers. Young killers Mary Bell, Robert Thompson, and Jon Venables; murderers Ian Huntley, Thomas Hamilton (of the Dunblane massacre), and Raoul Moat; and serial killers Fred West, Dennis Nilsen, and Ian Brady all started by deliberately harming animals.
