17 Bollywood Stars Who Speak Out for Animals

Animals have many friends among the beautiful people who work in Bollywood, the world’s largest filmmaking industry. The following are some of the biggest names who have teamed up either with us or with PETA India in their behalf, from rising starlets to some of Indian cinema’s most iconic figures:

1.      Amy Jackson


The Liverpool-born Yevadu star poses with her adorable rescued cat Alfie to raise awareness of animal homelessness.

2. Imran Khan


In addition to starring in a touching video with his dog, Tony, the heartthrob was also given an award by PETA India for intervening to stop animal abuse. What a hero!

3. Jacqueline Fernandez


The sultry Sri Lankan model and actor urges fans to boycott horse-drawn carriages on the streets of India’s cities. 4. Sunny Leone


The Jism 2 lead lady sends a sex-themed message to her fans with this straight-talking ad.

The iconic actor, director and producer, who has appeared in more than 150 films, explains her vegetarianism: “Knowing that my food choices are helping the planet and animals, too, makes me happy.” Inspiring words!

15.  Ayushmann Khurrana


The actor, who made his name playing a sperm donor in Vicky Donor, gets serious about safe sex in an ad pushing dog lovers to sterilise their companions.

16.  Raveena Tandon Thadani


The Mohra star channels her passion for animals in a hot ad showcasing the reasons to choose cruelty-free fashion.
