Elisa Allen has been with PETA since 2010 and is currently Vice President of Programmes and Operations, playing a central role in driving the organisation’s campaigns, public outreach, and communication work.

In her work, she regularly speaks to national and international media on animal protection issues. Before joining PETA, Elisa gained hands-on experience working at one of the largest animal shelters in the United States and has assisted PETA entities with efforts including reuniting dogs displaced during Hurricane Katrina with their guardians.

She holds a master’s degree in public advocacy from the National University of Ireland and notes that her commitment to animal liberation runs in the family: her twin sister oversees PETA US’ field team!
