Earth Day Warning: Go Vegan or We All Die

Nottingham locals were in for a surprise on Earth Day (22 April), when PETA supporters unfurled a giant banner off Trent Bridge:

Why Nottingham?

Nottingham City Council has pledged to become the first carbon-neutral city in the UK by 2028. This ambitious target is welcome, and every individual can help achieve it by going vegan.’

The United Nations states that animal agriculture is responsible for nearly a fifth of human-induced greenhouse gas emissions and that raising animals for food is “one of the top two or three most significant contributors to the most serious environmental problems, at every scale from local to global”. This is why UN experts have called for a global shift towards plant-based eating.

Go Vegan or We All Die

Don’t wait for the government to take action – take personal responsibility to help combat the climate catastrophe now. The solution is simple: go vegan.

Going vegan can reduce your carbon footprint from food by up to 73%, protect the natural habitats of the animals we share our planet with, save water, and more. Check out these 22 reasons to make the switch today:

Most importantly, you’ll be saving lives. Cows, chickens, pigs, sheep, and fish have feelings, thoughts, and personalities, just as we do. Yet the meat, egg, dairy, and fishing industries treat them like commodities – and the cruelty is hard to swallow.

Cows hung and bleeding out at a slaughterhouse.

What Are You Waiting for?

If planet Earth means the world to you (see what we did there?), do it a favour by going vegan. We can help you make this compassionate change:
