The UK Is Getting Another Vegan Hotel – Here’s What You Need to Know

Wales is set to get its first-ever 100% plant-based hotel, Ffarm Hall, opening in Abergele, North Wales, this spring.

Ffarm Hall is the sister hotel of Yorkshire’s Beck Hall, which became England’s first plant-based hotel in 2023.

Announcing the news on social media, Beck Hall owners Andy and Louise Macbeth said the “response to the hotel going plant-based had inspired them to expand and “keep sharing the joy of vegan food and compassionate hospitality.”

Wales’ First Plant-Based Hotel

Ffarm Hall is set to open in May, and the hotel is now open for bookings. Just like Beck Hall, it is dog-friendly and surrounded by beautiful scenery and walks.

The Macbeths decided to embrace the plant-based hotel market after going vegan themselves, and Beck Hall has been a popular fixture with vegans and non-vegans alike ever since. As well as plant-based food, the Macbeths use cruelty-free detergents, toiletries, duvets, and pillows at Beck Hall, and plan to replace existing animal skin sofas and wool carpets with vegan versions once they wear out.

Vegan Getaways

In addition to Ffarm Hall and Beck Hall, there are several vegan hotels and B&Bs across the UK. Loaf B&B in Northumberland, The Balsporran in the Scottish Highlands, and Blaeberry House in Inverness are all popular places to stay that serve only plant-based food.

Many hotel chains, like Malmaison, Premier Inn, and Travelodge, also offer a variety of vegan-friendly meals, meaning planning a vegan staycation couldn’t be easier.
