Every year brings more and more exciting vegan food launches, and this Veganuary might just be the biggest yet. From McDonald’s mighty McPlant burger to Lindt’s creamy oat milk chocolate bars, you’re guaranteed to find a delicious, animal-free version of all of your favourite foods. There’s never been a better (or tastier) time to try vegan food than right now – so check out some of the most exciting food launches of 2022 so far, and start your vegan journey today.

  • Caffè Nero

    Caffè Nero has collaborated with vegan meat brand THIS to create two impressive new dishes: the THIS Plant Based ‘Chicken’ Arrabbiata Panini features seasoned vegan chicken pieces in a tomato ragù, and the THIS Plant Based ‘Sausage’ Ciabatta makes a perfect choice for brunch.

  • Everyman Cinemas

    Exciting menu additions at Everyman Cinemas include a vegan cheeseburger and a chargrilled artichoke and sun-dried tomato pizza. Plus, its indulgent new Vegan Biscoff Milkshake blends Lotus Biscoff biscuits with plant-based vanilla ice cream and soya milk.

  • Domino’s

    Domino’s added another classic flavour to its vegan menu: the new Vegan PepperoNAY features meaty plant-based pepperoni and melty vegan cheese on the classic Domino’s base. Don’t forget the irresistible vegan garlic and herb dip.

  • Zizzi

    Zizzi’s wonderful new Rainbow Vegan Lasagne features six layers of pasta and loads of delicious veg, including butternut squash, beetroot, red onion, and spinach, in a pomodoro sauce, topped with pesto and breadcrumbs. Plus, there’s the decadent new Zillionaire’s Slice for dessert – a chocolate-chip cookie base topped with layers of salted toffee and coconut chocolate ganache .

  • McDonald’s

    Previously only at select restaurants, the McPlant is finally available nationwide! It tastes just like you remember but without harming animals – all the way down to the secret-recipe vegan burger sauce.

  • Burger King

    New to the menu this January are vegan chicken nuggets that are perfect for dipping. Pair them with the PETA award–winning Vegan Royale and some fries for a meal fit for a king.

  • wagamama

    wagamama’s latest innovation brings vegan fish and chips to the high street. The Tempura F-ish + Bang Bang Yaki-imo is a Japanese-inspired take on the traditional British dish, with tempura-coated “fish” and sweet potato chips coated in firecracker sauce, served with mushy minty edamame beans.

  • Pizza Hut

    Some like it hot, and that’s where Pizza Hut’s new Vegan Flamin’ Buffalo Pizza comes in: vegan chicken marinated in Frank’s RedHot sauce atop the classic Pizza Hut base. And if you can’t handle the spice, Pizza Hut has an extensive vegan menu to choose from.

  • Nando’s

    Joining Nando’s popular vegan chicken option, the Great Imitator, is its new Spiced Chickpea Burger, a chickpea and spinach patty loaded with houmous, spinach, and red pepper chutney, all served in a soft roll. Also new is its vegan Rainbow Bowl, packed with flavour and colourful veg.

  • KFC

    KFC’s award–winning Original Recipe Vegan Burger is now available permanently in over 950 of its restaurants in the UK and Ireland. And to celebrate the rollout, KFC is offering the burger at a 50% discount on Mondays during January and February, when ordered via Uber Eats.

  • Bella Italia

    Bella Italia has teamed up with vegan egg experts OGGS to launch two new dishes: a plant-based CarbOGGnara, made with Scrambled OGGS, for a main and Hot ChOGGolate Pudding for an indulgent dessert – available from 3 January. How EGGciting!

  • Krispy Kreme

    Krispy Kreme is launching three new vegan doughnuts this January! Choose from Fudge Brownie Bliss, Apple Custard Crumble, and Caramel Choc Delight. These treats will be available to order online, along with its vegan Original Glazed ring doughnuts, and from Krispy Kreme stores.

  • Meatless Farm

    From protein-packed burgers to tender mince, the Meatless Farm range offers you all of the meat with none of the cruelty to animals. Now, it has added a plant-based chicken breast that can be cooked in the oven, pan, or grill, making it easy to sub into your favourite dishes.

  • Subway

    Joining its sensational vegan cookie and meatless meatballs this Veganuary, Subway has launched T.L.C. Tikka (Tastes. Like. Chicken.), which is available in a sub, salad, or wrap – and has all the tikka taste without harming a single chicken. Subway is also trialling the new plant-based T.L.S. (Tastes. Like. Steak.) in 350 outlets across the south of England until 15 February.

  • Costa Coffee

    Costa Coffee’s new Vegan Macaroni Cheeze features a rich vegan cheese sauce and fresh spinach, topped with a parsley crumb. Be sure to leave room for the delicious new BOSH! Chocolate & Pecan Slice.

  • Lindt

    The latest chocolate from this world-famous chocolatier is rich, creamy, and fully vegan. Available in Smooth and Hazelnut flavours, Lindt’s vegan chocolate uses oat milk and almond paste to create an indulgent treat that chocoholics will fall in love with.

  • JD Wetherspoon

    The Fiesta Burger is the latest addition to JD Wetherspoon’s stacked vegan offering. The new burger features a Beyond Meat patty that’s loaded with salsa, guacamole, peppers, courgette, and onion and accompanied with a side of onion rings and chips.

  • Babybel

    Finally! Just in time for Veganuary, Babybel has launched a vegan mini cheese wheel. Like the dairy version, it’s wrapped in wax, but no cows had to suffer for this cheesy snack. Available in Sainsbury’s.

  • Iceland

    Iceland is offering a discount of up to 50% on many of its most popular vegan products to celebrate Veganuary. Offers include half-priced Fry’s vegan hot dogs and Linda McCartney sausages, and discounted Chicago Town vegan pizzas and packs of Greggs vegan sausage rolls.

  • Starbucks

    Starbucks is offering a vegan Tu’NAH sandwich in collaboration with The Vegetarian Butcher. Introduced alongside its first-ever vegan fish option are three vegan baked goods: a pecan and caramel brownie, frosted carrot cake, and a luscious chocolate and caramel muffin. And there’s more good news – Starbucks will no longer charge extra for plant milk as part of its efforts to reduce its impact on the planet.
