PETA’s Holiday Gift to Jeremy Clarkson: a Christmas Jumper…with a Gruesome Twist
London / Oxford – Vocal anti-vegan TV presenter and animal farmer Jeremy Clarkson has been offered an eye-catching Christmas present from PETA: a Christmassacre jumper. The provocative pull-overs – which have been worn by compassionate celebrities – are flying off the shelves and remind everyone of who, not what, is on the holiday dinner table.
In a letter (available here), the animal protection group states that it hopes the jumpers will move Clarkson to bring comfort and joy to all this Christmas by going vegan.

“Christmas is a time to reflect on how we can each bring the spirit of peace and goodwill into our everyday lives,” writes PETA Vice President of Programmes Elisa Allen. “We hope our festive jumpers will finally inspire you to adopt a vegan lifestyle and transform Diddly Squat farm into a sanctuary where animals can live out their lives in peace.”
Pigs are soothed by music, cows have best friends, and turkeys are doting parents – but in the meat industry, the animals are raised in filthy, crowded conditions, trucked to slaughterhouses through all weather extremes, and violently killed. In addition to sparing animals a lifetime of misery and an agonising death, each person who goes vegan also dramatically shrinks their food-related carbon footprint and slashes their risk of developing cancer, heart disease, and other ailments.
The limited-edition jumpers are available to purchase from the PETA website for £75 each. They are part of PETA’s Christmassacre campaign which includes a chilling Christmas advert urging viewers to open their eyes to the animal suffering behind their meaty centrepieces. The spot is showing in cinemas across the UK, including Oxford, throughout December.
