Enter Our 2021 ‘UK and Ireland’s Most Beautiful Vegan Over 50’ Competition

As the UK and Ireland continue to face restrictions caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, which originated in a meat market, PETA is celebrating mature vegans of all backgrounds who are making the world a kinder and safer place by keeping animal-derived foods off their plates.

Could you be PETA’s Most Beautiful Vegan Over 50?

We’re calling on the many wise and wonderful vegans who live in the UK or Ireland and have crested 50 to enter our competition for a chance to win a decadent vegan food hamper from Fortnum & Mason, including a bottle of the finest vegan prosecco.

We encourage vegans of all cultures, ethnicities, abilities, religions, gender identities, and sexual orientations to enter.

We want this competition to be a celebration of people who are keeping animals off their plates and out of their wardrobes – and finding creative ways to advocate for them – during the pandemic. If you’ve found new ways to speak up for animals during this time, please tell us about them when you enter.

PETA’s competition seeks the vegans over 50 who dazzle the most – on the inside even more so than on the outside – and who use their compassionate nature to speak out compellingly for animals. So, do you – yes, you – have what it takes to inspire others with your passion for animal rights?

Before you enter, here are a few quick questions:

Are you over 50?

Rules are rules.

Are you beautiful?

We don’t mean having great headshots or a certain body mass index. We’re looking for vegans who are compassionate, enthusiastic, dedicated, optimistic, smart, fun, encouraging, and uplifting – all these virtues are super-attractive.

Do you take action for animals?

There are many, many ways to help make the world a kinder place for animals, and we want to hear yours. From organising protests to rescuing abused and neglected animals to sharing delicious vegan meals with your community, the sky’s the limit.

If you answered “Yes” to all these questions, show the world that you have what it takes by entering the UK and Ireland’s Most Beautiful Vegan Over 50 Competition.

Contest Details

The competition will be broken down into two rounds: the entry round and the voting round. You can enter the contest during the entry round only.

The entry round opens on 16 July 2021. All entries must be submitted by 5 pm UK time on 6 August 2021. PETA will choose the finalists from the qualifying entrants based on the following factors: the enthusiasm they demonstrate in promoting a vegan lifestyle, PETA’s assessment of their attractiveness, and PETA’s assessment of the appeal of their story to the media and the public.

The finalists will be notified and featured on PETA.org.uk during the week of 9 August 2021. Public voting to help PETA decide which finalist we should choose as the winner will begin during the week of 9 August 2021 and end at 5 pm UK time on 20 August 2021.

The winner will be notified and featured on PETA.org.uk during the week of 23 August 2021.

The winner will receive a decadent vegan food hamper from Fortnum & Mason, including a bottle of the finest vegan prosecco.
