BEDFORDSHIRE WOMAN IS FINALIST IN PETA’S ‘HOTTEST VEGAN’ COMPETITION

Contest Finalists Will Battle for Top Honours and a Luxury European Cruise

Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire – What does Leighton Buzzard local Krystal Gavigan have in common with Jessica Chastain, Natalie Portman, and Ariana Grande? They’re all sizzling, sexy vegans! The Bedfordshire beauty beat out numerous other entrants to become one of eight female finalists in PETA’s UK and Ireland’s Hottest Vegan Competition 2018.

The photo is also available here.

Gavigan, a teacher, has been vegan for eight years and loves vegan pizza. She also loves her cat, Missy, whom she adopted from a local animal shelter 10 years ago. Describing her relationship with Missy, she says, “She is my everything. I am a fully fledged crazy cat lady!”

“There’s nothing sexier than someone who is committed to helping animals and the environment, and it doesn’t hurt that vegans are, on average, healthier and more energetic than their meat-eating peers,” says PETA Director Elisa Allen. “Each one of the finalists in PETA’s contest is a living example of the strength and vitality that can come from vegan eating.”

The two winners of the annual contest – modelled, in part, after PETA’s Sexiest Vegetarian Celebrities contest, which has honoured Leona Lewis, John Bishop, Thandie Newton, David Haye, and many others – will each receive a trip for two on the luxury five-night Christmas Markets cruise on Germany and Switzerland’s Rhine and Moselle rivers, courtesy of Vegan Travel.

This year’s winners will be chosen based on several factors, including vote count, and will be announced by 13 August. See the full contest details here.

Gavigan is available for interviews. For more information and to vote in the contest, please visit PETA.org.uk.
