BEXHILL-ON-SEA WOMAN IS FINALIST IN PETA’S ‘HOTTEST VEGAN’ COMPETITION

Winners of Annual Contest Will Receive an Eight-Course Gourmet Vegan Meal for Two at Gauthier Soho

Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex – What does Bexhill-on-Sea native Casey Rider have in common with Jessica Chastain, Natalie Portman, and Ariana Grande? They’re all sizzling, sexy vegans! The 22-year-old beat out numerous other entrants to become one of seven female finalists in PETA’s UK and Ireland’s Hottest Vegan Competition 2017.

Photos are available here, here and here.

Rider is a non-profit worker with a penchant for vegan doughnuts and CrossFit. “Veganism to me means compassion – compassion for everyone, whether they have feet, scales, or feathers,” she says. “Once I discovered veganism, I made a promise to myself that I would not stop sharing and educating people about veganism until every animal is free.”

“Vegans are, on average, slimmer and healthier and have more energy than their meat-eating peers – plus, there’s nothing hotter than compassion,” says PETA Director Elisa Allen. “Each one of the finalists in PETA’s contest is a testament to how sexy vegans are – inside and out.”

You can vote for your favourite contestants – one man and one woman – to let PETA know whom you think it should select as the winners. Each winner – one man and one woman – will receive an eight-course vegan taster menu for two at top London restaurant Gauthier Soho.

Voting on the finalists to help PETA determine the winners will run until 28 July. Winners will be chosen by PETA based on several factors, including vote count, and will be announced by 4 August. See the full contest details here.

Rider is available for interviews. For more information and to vote in the contest, please visit PETA.org.uk.
