JASON BIGGS IS ‘BEATEN’, ‘SHOCKED’ AND CHAINED FOR NEW PETA US ANTI-CIRCUS VIDEO
Star Teams Up With Wife and Celebrity Pals for Hilarious Campaign

London – What if actors were treated like animals in a circus? That’s the subject of Jason Biggsnew PETA US video, in which the Orange Is the New Black and American Pie star is denied food, chained up on set overnight and “shocked” with an “electric prod” to remind him who’s boss – all common circus practices.

The video also stars Biggs’ wife, Jenny Mollen (Angel), who demonstrates with Sunny Mabrey (Once Upon a Time) how big cats are crammed into tiny cages when they’re not being forced to perform. Ross McCall (White Collar) and Daniel Maurio (actor/producer, Chelsea Lately) also appear.

“As Jason Biggs’ PETA US video reveals, the toughest TV production set doesn’t hold a candle to the cruelty in a circus tent”, says PETA UK Director Mimi Bekhechi. “Elephants and tigers stand on their hind legs or jump through rings of fire only because they know that they’ll be beaten or whipped if they don’t.”

Biggs previously collaborated with PETA US for a tongue-in-cheek “SeaWorld commercial”. He’s part of a growing list of celebrities – including Olivia Munn, Steve-O, Tommy Lee, Anjelica Huston and many more – who have teamed up with PETA and our international affiliates (whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to use for entertainment”) to speak out against circuses that use and abuse animals.
