Guest Judge Louise Redknapp Helps Select Winning Fur-, Wool- and Leather-Free Designs

London – As more people learn how easy it is to be kind to animals by choosing pleather, faux fur, mock croc and other cruelty-free garments, more and more top designers and high-street retailers are meeting the demand for top-quality vegan fashion. And PETA – with the help of fashionista, guest judge Louise Reknapp– is recognising the best animal-free clothing and accessories with the second annual PETA-Approved Vegan Fashion Awards.

This year’s winners include Stella McCartney for Most Stylish Women’s Knitwear, Taeseok Kang for Most Stylish Handbag, Beyond Skin for Most Stylish Women’s Flat Shoes, Miss Selfridge for Most Stylish Women’s Outerwear, ASOS for Most Stylish Men’s Belt, Marks & Spencer for Most Stylish Men’s Knitwear, and Vivienne Westwood for Most Stylish  Men’s Outerwear.

“Everywhere I go, from designer shops to the local Topshop, I see beautiful, animal-free clothes, bags, shoes and wallets”, says Louise “As an animal lover, I was delighted to help PETA choose this year’s best cruelty-free contributions to the fashion world. All of the winners and nominees prove how easy it is to dress ethically from head to toe.”

Other retailers to take home prizes include Next, ASOS, New Look, Topshop and Disaster Designs. Alice Vandy – whose colourful, digitally-printed leggings, dresses and swimwear have attracted fans such as Jessie J and Kimberly Wyatt – won the title of Most Talented New Designer.
