BE NICE TO MICE! PETA SENDS HUMANE TRAP AFTER MOUSE’S SURPRISE APPEARANCE ON ‘THIS MORNING’ SET
Group Sends News Programme Tips to Help Address Uninvited Visitors
London – After learning that a frisky little mouse scampered across the This Morning set yesterday, PETA offered to lend a helping hand. The group sent a humane-mouse trap that will allow the news programme’s staff to catch the mouse and release him or her unharmed in a nearby park. In the accompanying letter, PETA also offered producer Lucy Johnston several helpful tips on keeping mice from entering the studio in the first place.
“Mice may be small, but they are bright, social, and sensitive animals”, says PETA Senior Campaign Coordinator Kirsty Henderson. “We’re spreading the message that catching them gently and releasing them, unharmed, outdoors is a solution that everyone – including mice – can live with.”
PETA’s letter to Johnston is available here. For more information on humane rodent control, please visit PETA.org.uk.
