‘ONE STEP FURTHER’: PETA GERMANY RELEASES NEW ANIMAL RIGHTS SPOT WITH MUSIC BY MOBY
Ad Encourages Compassion for All Living Beings
London – In its new music spot, “One Step Further”, PETA Germany makes clear that the animal rights movement is powerful – just like the movements for gender and racial equality. Accompanied by the expressive, atmospheric music of Moby, which the musician provided at no charge, the one-minute spot features scenes from the past as a means of highlighting the progress humankind has made towards becoming more compassionate – but it also emphasises that we need to go one step further by extending compassion to all living beings and granting non-human animals the right to live free from exploitation and abuse.
“Backed by music from Moby, PETA Germany’s new animal rights music spot reminds us that humankind has accomplished great things but has forgotten about animals”, says PETA Director Elisa Allen. “Our commitment to animals is just as important as our commitment to other vulnerable groups, and the time to grant them basic rights is long overdue.”
Moby – born in New York in 1965 – is a singer, guitarist, DJ, music producer, and vegan who has campaigned for animal rights for many years.
PETA– whose motto reads, “Animals are not ours to eat, wear, experiment on, use for entertainment, or abuse in any other way” – notes that vegan eating supports a lifetime of good health and that every person who goes vegan saves around 100 animals each year from daily suffering and a terrifying death.
