London – What do Ireland native Laura Dalton and Baldock-born Toby Channon have in common with former US President Bill Clinton, singer Leona Lewis and actors Joaquin Phoenix and Jessica Chastain? They are all sizzlingly sexy vegans! Dalton, 26, and Channon, 31, beat out other finalists to be crowned PETA’s Sexiest Vegans in the UK and Ireland.
A vegetarian from the age of 9 and a vegan from 18, Dalton ditched animal products after learning how the meat industry confines billions of animals to severely crowded spaces and subjects them to mutilations, injuries and a terrifying death. Now a proud animal rights advocate in Naas, County Kildare, Dalton recently joined a protest outside the Department of Agriculture in Dublin against the cruel export of live cattle to Libya. When she’s not busy advocating a vegan lifestyle, Dalton enjoys nightclubbing, watching films, shopping and travelling.
Channon, a personal trainer from Hertfordshire, went vegan four years ago, and he is keen to pass on the health benefits of plant-based nutrition to his many clients. He is a keen fundraiser for charity, and last year, Channon raised a substantial sum for Whizz-Kidz by doing 1,000 pull-ups.
“On average, vegans are healthier and have more energy than meat-eaters do – and that makes them sexier, too”, says PETA UK Associate Director Mimi Bekhechi. “Congratulations to our two winners. But in our book, all the entrants are winners. They are enjoying all the health benefits of vegan food while living compassionately every day.”

The two winners will each receive a one-night stay for two at the Claymore Vegetarian Guest House and dinner at the vegetarian restaurant Henderson’s of Edinburgh.
