PETA OFFERS NEW EQUIPMENT IN EXCHANGE FOR SMOKIN’-HOT VEGAN AD ON DONEGAL FIRE ENGINE

Group Wants Stranorlar Locals to Feel the Heat of Its New Vegan Campaign

County Donegal – After hearing that life-saving equipment was stolen from one of Stranorlar Fire Station’s engines earlier this week, PETA has fired off a letter to the station’s chief offering to pay for some replacements in exchange for the placement of its “Vegans Are Hot! Free Smokin’-Hot Recipes: PETA.org.uk” campaign image on the side of the vehicle.

“Our ad will help Stranorlar keep its emergency vehicle up and running while passing along a life-saving message”, says PETA Senior Campaign Coordinator Kirsty Henderson. “By going vegan, residents can protect animals, improve their own health, and help themselves become ‘hot stuff’!”

PETA – whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to eat” – notes that, in addition to sparing many animals every year the horrors of the abattoir, vegans are less prone to suffering from cancer, obesity, and diabetes than meat-eaters are. They also have a lower carbon footprint. These are just some of the reasons why millions of people around the world are going vegan and why the number of requests for PETA’s free vegan starter kit increases every year.

PETA’s letter is available upon request. For more information, please visit PETA.org.uk.
