London – Sporting little more than a pair of angel wings and holding her beloved dog Buster, Formula 1 heiress Tamara Ecclestone stars in a brand-new ad for PETA that urges, “Be an Angel for Animals. Animals Deserve Respect, Patience, and Understanding”. The ad, available here, was shot by top photographer Dan Kennedy.

In addition to posing for the print ad, Ecclestone is helping PETA US highlight the plight of dogs in poor communities through the group’s Community Animal Project programme. Thanks to her financial support, PETA US has been able to provide many dogs in need with veterinary care, sturdy doghouses and adoptive families.

“All dogs deserve to be loved”, says Ecclestone. “I encourage everyone to do what they can to help animals in need and to open their homes and their hearts to a dog only if they have the time, resources, and patience to care for the dog.”

Ecclestone’s previous work with PETA and PETA US has included an anti-fur campaign and her efforts to stop the sale of foie gras (last year, she persuaded many top F1 drivers and teams to pledge never to purchase the cruelly produced food). She is the first British celebrity to star in the “Angels for Animals” campaigns of PETA and its affiliates, which have previously featured Audrina Patridge, Joanna Krupa and Famke Janssen.
