London – Anyone interested in being the gorgeous Natalia Clavier’s valentine will have to do one thing first: go vegan! The singer and Argentina native, who stars in a new ad for PETA Latino that’s available here, explains, “I love being vegan because I know I’m saving animals, improving my health, and helping the environment”.

Today’s industrialised meat and dairy industries mean immense suffering for animals: chickens and turkeys have their throats cut while they’re still conscious, fish are suffocated or cut open while they’re still alive on the decks of fishing boats and calves are taken away from their mothers within hours of birth. Vegans save animals’ lives, have a smaller carbon footprint than meat-eaters and are less prone to developing heart disease, cancer, diabetes and obesity than meat-eaters are.

Clavier joins a long list of celebrities – including Paul McCartney, Joss Stone, Rodrigo y Gabriela, Chrissie Hynde, Joan Jett, Geezer Butler, Pamela Anderson and Alicia Silverstone – who have teamed up with PETA and its affiliates to promote healthy and humane meat-free meals.

Broadcast-quality footage of Clavier’s exclusive video interview can be downloaded here. For more information on healthy and compassionate vegan food or to order a free vegan starter kit, please visit PETA.org.uk.
