Paris – This time there were three: One French and two British activists successfully disrupted Karl Lagerfeld’s show at Le Carrousel du Louvre today by bounding onto the runway with banners reading, ‘Fur Kills,’ and chanting ‘Fur is dead!’

U.S. Vogue editor Anna Wintour, nick-named ‘The Ice Maiden’ for her shameless business promotions of fur, was sitting in the front row of the ‘invitation only’ event, and visibly grimaced, perhaps remembering a time when a dead raccoon landed on her plate in a New York restaurant. Yesterday, a PETA activist interrupted the Dior show by taking over the runway to protest the violence and cruelty of the fur trade.

‘Designers who still use fur are heartless and shameless,’ said PETA member Charlie McKenzie, of Ipswich, after disrupting the show, ‘We gave the animals a loud voice today in the war against vanity and the call for compassion.’

Broadcast-quality video footage of animals on fur farms is available.
