New Vegan Options for Autumn 2017
What’s new on the vegan market this autumn? Lots!
From pumpkin spice drinks to dairy-free ice cream, there are loads of brand-new products on the shelves. Even more of the major supermarkets and coffee chains are expanding their vegan ranges, including adding new lunch options. How many of these products have you spotted in store?
M&S has some new vegan options that you can work into your favourite recipes when cooking at home, including veggie “chunks”, mince, sausages, and burgers.
Is it really autumn if you don’t have something pumpkin-flavoured? A popular choice is a warming pumpkin spice flat white, which you can now find at Pret in vegan-friendly form. Be sure to order it with soya, coconut, or almond milk.
We’re sure you’ll have heard that Ben & Jerry’s has brought its dairy-free ice cream over to the UK – but just in case you haven’t, the Chunky Monkey, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, and Peanut Butter & Cookies flavours are now available at many major supermarkets, including Tesco and Waitrose.
Perfect if you’re looking for a warming, autumnal lunch option, this hot pot from Caffè Nero combines orzo pasta with sun-dried tomatoes, peppers, courgette, and smoked paprika – yum.
Anyone with a sweet tooth will love these “accidentally vegan” chocolate creams, which are available at Aldi. They come in violet, rose, strawberry, and orange flavours.
Another vegan grab-and-go choice from Waitrose is this Mexican-spiced butternut squash wrap.
Tofurky has brought out sandwiches with a variety of fillings, all of which incorporate the US brand’s vegan meats. Look out for the sarnies in Whole Foods Market’s London stores.
This tortilla wrap containing black sushi rice and vegetables – inspired by Japanese cuisine – is a new lunch option from Morrisons.
Fans of this delicious vegan mayo will be pleased to hear that it’s now available in Sainsbury’s stores in the UK – woohoo!
